We are a family-run bricklaying and restoration business based in Brisbane, working across Queensland and New South Wales—from Cairns (Gimuy) to Melbourne (Narrm). With over 240 years, five generations, and projects spanning regional towns to capital cities, we specialise in heritage brick restoration that preserves Australia’s architectural history with care and precision.
Founded by Maurie, who began building in Brisbane at just 24, our craft has evolved from six-pack unit construction to over 25 years dedicated solely to heritage restoration. In 2010, Maurie received the prestigious Winston Churchill Grant, training under world-renowned masonry expert Dr Gerard Lynch, and passing this knowledge on to his son Aleksandr, who further honed his expertise in the UK.
Today, we restore brick, stone, and render using authentic lime mortars, heritage pointing techniques, and traditional colour washes. With materials sourced from Italy, France, and the UK, our work is both historically accurate and built to last. Every project we take on is guided by one mission: to preserve history, maintain craftsmanship, and ensure the buildings we restore today will still stand proudly for generations to come.
We use only the highest quality materials, including premium sands free from salts and natural colourants for an authentic finish. Many of our materials are sourced from Italy and the United Kingdom to ensure durability and heritage accuracy. Our tools, passed down through generations, are traditionally crafted in England and reflect our commitment to preserving the craftsmanship behind every project.
